I think it was a hit. I now may want one!My father loved it!All was good no complaints, well the light could be a smidgen on the brighter sideCan't live without itFirst few days it worked great! Magnet worked, and light seemed decent. But it's very cheaply made. It literally broke in half, and the bulb basically shattered. Wasn't dropped, or anything. It happened while using. Not worth your money!Good dealThis little tool came in an attractive little box. It is just as advertised – has a flexible neck, telescopes easily. It extends further than other similar tools I considered and I feel like I can get a good grip on the handle. The LED isn’t super bright, but it’s adequate, especially if you’re in a dimly lit area. It’s small when folded up, so it easily fits into your tool bag/box. The extra 4 batteries are nice.All in all, the tool really can help you to light up hard-to-reach places as you try to look for something you’ve dropped. The magnet is plenty strong for picking up multiple small pieces of metal. You’ll be able to pick up screws, nails, keys, nuts, sewing needles, or other steel objects whether you’re at home or in your garage. Do note, though, that if you drop your small metal item ON a metal surface, you’re apt to find your gadget stuck to the metal surface – not as easy to pick something up in that case. That would be true of any magnetic pick up tool though.I needed a small flashlight to keep in my car. I like the idea of having a telescoping magnetic head. The light isn’t all that bright…I’ve had brighter pen lights, but the price is right and I appreciate the extras offered. Batteries come installed and there is a spare set of three on top of that. It feels sturdy and looks good. Nice size for a small glove compartment. My dislikes are that if I extend the head and bend the arm, the weight of the head will cause the arm to keep swiveling. This would be annoying if you needed a steady light in a particular area. There is also a typo on the front of the box which cheapens the look to me if I had plans to give as a gift. Would love for it to be a little brighter as well.
